Geneskool (Genome BC) Releases New Tabletop Escape Room Classroom Workshop
Transcribe to Survive uses a tabletop escape room approach to introduce or reinforce understanding of transcription, translation and protein structure and function. Students collaborate to encode and decode information stored in DNA, RNA and proteins to unlock boxes and catch a villain.

Local Philippine news station showcases James Dyson Award Philippine National Winner 2020 project "reBIRTH" by University of the Philippines Diliman students. The JDA winners share their concept for a woman-centred birthing tool that aims to help mothers in far-flung areas of the Philippines for a positive birthing experience by catering to a variety of birthing positions in labour.
James Dyson Award 2020 National Winners Announced
With over 1,700 entries from 27 global regions, the James Dyson Award highlighted an array of ingenious solutions for critical problems, including microplastic pollution, IV infiltration, and coral-reef degradation. Panels of tech experts, entrepreneurs and leading engineers reviewed, discussed and debated all the James Dyson Award entries to select a national winner and two runners up in each participating region, totalling 81 national finalists. These finalists have now been announced.
